Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet every customer with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Take customer orders accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Answer questions about menu items, specials, and promotions.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally or refer them to a manager.
- Ensure every guest has an excellent dining experience.
- Make drinks for customers ordering beverages that contain alcohol.
Food Preparation
- Prepare menu items according to company recipes and standards.
- Assemble sandwiches, salads, and other menu items accurately, as needed.
- Portion ingredients correctly to maintain consistency.
- Restock food and supplies throughout the shift.
Food Safety & Sanitation
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Wash hands and use proper food handling procedures.
- Maintain clean workstations, equipment, and dining areas.
- Complete daily cleaning and sanitizing tasks.
- Follow Louisville Metro and Kentucky health department regulations.
Cash Handling
- Process cash, credit card, and mobile payments accurately.
- Balance cash drawer according to company procedures.
- Maintain accountability for all transactions.
Restaurant Operations
- Stock cups, lids, napkins, condiments, and supplies.
- Assist with receiving and putting away deliveries.
- Remove trash and maintain clean dining and restroom areas.
- Complete opening, closing, and side-work duties.
- Assist with catering orders when needed.
- Work in multiple stations, including front counter, drive-thru (if applicable), food prep, and dining room.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous restaurant experience is helpful but not required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift up to 30 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Bend, reach, twist, and carry supplies.
- Work in hot, cold, and fast-paced kitchen environments.
Pay: From $10.00 per hour
