Job Overview:
BlueSky is seeking a Maintenance Technician, with a relentless smile and positive attitude. This skilled tradesperson will have broad trade experience in electrical and plumbing. They work with different electrical systems, tools, and safety regulations to ensure the efficient and safe distribution of electricity. The Maintenance Technician oversees locating sources of leaks and blockages, fixing, or replacing broken parts and testing the plumbing system. In addition to installing, inspecting, and repairing pipes and plumbing systems to make sure all residential building’s fixtures operate correctly. Must have a thorough knowledge of residential systems, plumbing tools, and safety regulations. Must be organized, meticulous and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Must possess a strong work ethic and be a motivated collaborator.
Responsibilities
- Manage a work log.
- Keep detailed reports of work done at various job sites.
- Communicate well with clients to ensure client satisfaction.
- Communicate well with team members and fellow employees.

- Locate and repair minor issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks).
- Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
- Provide information regarding appliances, fixtures, and equipment upkeep to clients.
- Perform any necessary repairs to previously installed appliances, fixtures, and equipment.
- Install fixtures and equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and repair electrical appliances.
- Carry out regular maintenance of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems at commercial and residential sites.
- Work carefully to follow all current regulations for plumbing work to ensure that all installed systems pass inspections.
Experience:
- “Go the Extra Mile” mentality.
- High school or equivalent education preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving skills, and attention to details.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software, such as Yardi and AppFolio is a plus.
- Knowledge of property management principles, practices, and laws is a plus.
