Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, highlighting daily specials and upselling opportunities to enhance their experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all details are correct for timely delivery
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, dietary restrictions, and beverage pairings with culinary insight
- Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations for bills and tips
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols, proper food handling procedures, and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
- Utilize reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements and optimize guest flow in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Promote upselling of menu items to increase sales while delivering personalized service that exceeds guest expectations
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is highly preferred, especially within fine dining or upscale environments
- Demonstrated knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation enhances your ability to answer guest questions confidently
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality are essential for success in this role
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Experience with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is required
- Prior host/host or serving experience at nightclubs or busy restaurants will be considered a plus
