Local property management company looking for a maintenance Technician I to help service, maintain, and improve company properties in a prompt, professional manner. This role is responsible for keeping properties safe, clean, presentable, and well maintained while delivering strong customer service to tenants and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
1) Perform scheduled property sweeps and inspections to ensure common areas, vacancies, maintenance rooms and exteriors are clean and organized.
2) Complete exterior custodial duties such as landscape clean-up, snow removal, pressure washing, and grounds cleaning
3) Support interior cleaning, sanitation, and unit turnovers as needed.
4) Assist with signage placement and preparation of spaces for showings
5) May be asked to perform basic maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting for building mechanicals, systems and other elements including basic electrical repairs and upgrades, filter changes, doors, windows, and plumbing.
6) Basic experience with painting, drywall repair, power washing and landscape maintenance.
7) Maintain company vehicles, tools, supplies, and equipment inventory, and make minor repairs when needed.
8) Record work orders in Appfolio with photos, notes, and inventory usage, and follow time-tracking requirements.
9) Provide professional customer service and respond to urgent or after-hours service needs when required.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum:
a) High School diploma or equivalent GED
b) 3+ years experience in building operations, maintenance, and/or construction preferred
c) Strong problem-solving, organization, communication, and time-management skills
d) Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and interact well with diverse personalities.
e) Valid driver's license and comfort driving commercial vehicles required.
f) Experience with Microsoft Office and Appfolio preferred.
Language ability: Ability to read and write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with stakeholders. Ability to speak fluent English is a required.
Technology ability: Ability to utilize mobile devices to complete various communication, time entry, and work order reporting tasks
Physical Demands and Work Conditions: This role requires frequent same-day travel, working indoors and outdoors, and regular use of hands, standing, walking, climbing, stooping, and lifting and/or moving 50 or more pounds. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. - to 3:30 p.m., with occasional after-hours emergency response.
