Group Fitness Instructor (Contract, Part-Time)
Location: Sun City Texas – Georgetown, TX
About the Community
Sun City Texas is a vibrant active adult community serving over 16,000 residents. The community features extensive amenities including three golf courses, three fitness centers, eight pools, tennis courts, nature trails, bocce courts, and more. Residents also participate in 50+ clubs and interest groups such as photography, woodworking, gardening, and outdoor recreation.
Position Overview
Sun City Texas Community Association is seeking certified Group Fitness Instructors to lead engaging and safe classes. We are currently hiring instructors for:
- Water (All formats)
- Cycling
- Barre
- Specialty
This is a contract, part-time, per class role.
Minimum Requirements
- Current group fitness certification or specialty certification in your discipline
- Valid CPR/AED certification
- $1M general liability insurance policy
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Capable of lifting and moving up to 25 lbs
- Able to stand, kneel, sit, and move throughout the day
- Must be able to safely navigate the fitness center and surrounding facilities
- Clear verbal communication skills in English
- Adequate vision (with correction if needed) to read instructions and materials
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds and fitness levels
- Detail-oriented with good judgment and reasoning skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to multitask and stay focused in a dynamic environment
- Positive and professional attitude
- Audition required
Work Environment
- Indoor fitness centers as well as indoor/outdoor aquatic areas
- Exposure to humid conditions and pool chemicals
- Temperature-controlled indoor spaces with adequate room for movement
- Multiple facilities on the premises
