Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant back office to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical procedures, dental terminology, and infection control protocols, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a vital member of the dental practice, you will support dentists during procedures, manage clinical documentation, and ensure the highest standards of safety and hygiene are maintained throughout all operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, adhering to strict sterilization and infection prevention management protocols.
- Take and develop dental x-rays using digital imaging systems .
- Perform dental instrument processing tasks including sterilization, aseptic technique adherence, and inventory management to ensure readiness for daily procedures.those requiring special care.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and clinical confidentiality policies to uphold professional standards.
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry practices is required; experience in oral surgery is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental sterilization procedures, infection control practices, and healthcare infection prevention is critical to ensure patient safety.
- Demonstrated ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques across various specialties including endodontics and prosthodontics.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, dental x-ray procedures, and medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners is highly desirable.
- Experience with healthcare infection control standards and aseptic techniques to maintain clinical confidentiality policies at all times.
