The Mitigation Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing restoration and mitigation projects from initial assessment through completion. This role ensures projects related to water, fire, mold, or storm damage are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
Manage mitigation projects including water damage, fire/smoke damage, mold remediation, and storm recovery
Conduct on-site inspections to assess damage and develop project scopes and estimates
Coordinate crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely project completion
Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards (e.g., IICRC guidelines)
Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Prepare and maintain documentation, including job reports, photos, and estimates
Handle customer concerns and ensure high levels of client satisfaction
Oversee equipment usage, inventory, and maintenance
Ensure proper drying techniques, containment, and environmental controls are followed
Experience in restoration, construction, or mitigation project management
Knowledge of water, fire, and mold remediation processes
Familiarity with insurance claims and estimating software (e.g., Xactimate)
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to work in fast-paced and emergency response environments
Valid driver’s license
IICRC certifications (e.g., WRT – Water Restoration Technician, ASD – Applied Structural Drying)
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification (optional but beneficial)
