Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled European Automotive Technician with over five years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will be instrumental in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety for our diverse clientele. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on European vehicles, utilizing automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Perform engine repairs, including diesel engine repair and automotive engine system repairs, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Service vehicle systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), electrical systems, wiring diagrams interpretation, and vehicle wiring troubleshooting.
- Execute mechanical repairs involving powertrain components, engine technology, alignment procedures, and heavy lifting tasks with appropriate safety measures.
- Carry out routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake inspections, wheel alignments, and general mechanical repairs using hand tools and power tools.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to diagnose electrical faults efficiently.
- Support customer service efforts by explaining repair procedures clearly and providing professional advice on vehicle maintenance needs.
- Assist in auto body repair tasks such as welding and minor bodywork when necessary to ensure comprehensive vehicle care.
Experience
- Minimum of five years’ dealership or independent workshop experience working on European vehicles with a strong focus on brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, or Volkswagen.
- Proven expertise in automotive diagnostics using advanced diagnostic equipment and software.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge covering engine repair, powertrain systems, electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance protocols.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, alignment procedures, heavy lifting techniques, and the interpretation of automotive wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with diesel engine repair and automotive electrical systems is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and manual handling techniques in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
