This unit features significant patient room upgrades, and care for a mixture of med/surg and stepdown patients. This comprehensive unit provides elevated care to some of OU Health's most complex patients, encouraging team-based care and easier access to services.
Our unit focuses on all things Neuro! Our patient population includes diagnosis of strokes, seizures, brain mass, and neck and spinal surgery. This unit specializes in 24-7 epilepsy monitoring, where patients are being closely monitored and observed for any seizure activity. We will provide you the necessary tools in successfully performing a Yale swallow screening and becoming NIHSS certified (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification).
