Duties
- Safely operate various Amazon delivery vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Load, unload, and secure packages using manual handling techniques and material handling using hand trucks
- Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices to optimize time and fuel consumption
- Deliver packages directly to customers’ homes or businesses with a focus on professionalism, accuracy, and customer satisfaction
- Manually handle heavy items, practicing safe lifting practices to prevent injury during load & unload activities
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for each route driven
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience or delivery driver experience preferred; familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or courier services is advantageous
- Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, weight handling in the workplace, and safe lifting practices
- Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and communication
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to lift heavy packages repeatedly while maintaining safety standards
