Robert Trent Jones Golf Club is a nationally recognized private golf club located on the scenic shores of Lake Manassas. We are seeking a motivated and dependable Assistant Equipment Technician to join our golf course maintenance team. This full-time, year-round position offers the opportunity to work with a modern fleet of golf course equipment while developing valuable technical skills in a professional and supportive environment.

Position Summary
The Assistant Equipment Technician works closely with the Equipment Manager to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of golf course maintenance equipment. This includes diesel and gasoline-powered machinery, utility vehicles, mowers, rollers, and specialty turf equipment.
This role is essential to ensuring the golf course maintenance team has safe, reliable equipment to maintain championship playing conditions.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled service on golf course equipment
· Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues
· Assist with reel grinding and cutting unit maintenance
· Maintain accurate maintenance records and service schedules
· Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs as needed
· Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment
· Assist in training staff on proper equipment operation and daily maintenance procedures
· Support equipment inventory and shop organization efforts
· Follow all workplace safety standards and procedures
Qualifications
· Experience as a mechanic, technician, or equipment maintenance professional preferred
· Golf course equipment experience is a plus but not required
· Automotive, diesel, small engine, agricultural, or heavy equipment experience will be considered
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Ability to lift and move heavy equipment components
· Valid driver’s license preferred
