Penmac Staffing is hiring a 2nd Shift Production Worker for a busy potato production facility.
This is a hands-on role supporting production by maintaining clean, safe, and efficient work areas. If you enjoy staying active and working as part of a team, this could be a great opportunity for you!
Requirements for the Production Worker
Ability to lift and stack up to 50 pounds throughout an 8-hour shift
Willingness to work in hot, cold, wet, and non-climate-controlled environments
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
Must wear required PPE, including boots
Forklift experience preferred
Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check
Strong attendance and reliability required
Production Worker Responsibilities
Keep potato waste and debris cleaned from floors between dump area and fry flume
Sort waste into proper containers for hog feed or rerun product
Change rotary screen boxes as needed
Assist with production tasks such as stacking boxes, cleaning, and salvage
Break operators for lunches and breaks, including dump operator and other positions
Collect potato samples and deliver to QA lab
Maintain cleanliness in key areas including Reco, flume, blancher deck, and water knife
Assist with jam clearing and equipment monitoring
Complete end-of-shift cleanup and weighing tasks
Follow all GMP guidelines and maintain a safe work environment
Schedule & Pay
Training: 1st shift on July 30–31, 2026 ($15.00/hour)
Regular Schedule: 2nd shift starting August 3, 2026 ($16.00/hour)
Full-time hours in a non-climate-controlled production environment
Assignment length is undetermined with potential for long-term placement
These safety-sensitive positions require teamwork, flexibility, and a strong work ethic. Employees may work in various areas of the plant as needed.
