Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Porter to join our maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the meticulous upkeep of the common and exterior areas of multi-family buildings in our Portfolio.
Duties
- Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, light janitorial
- Pick up litter on grounds
- Operate trash compactors and clear trash chutes
- Replace light bulbs
- Assist with snow removal
- Clean hallways, corridors, stairways, and amenity areas
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English
- Prior porter or janitorial experience in commercial or residential settings
- Minimum one year experience in related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of work safety habits
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
Physical Demands
- Pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 10 lbs. regularly, 10-15 lbs. frequently or 20-35 lbs. occasionally
- Frequent walking of buildings. Need to bend, stoop, kneel, and occasionally climb or crawl
- Normal range of vision, hearing, speech, and smell
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
