We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a 10-speed Volvo Day Cab truck to transport freight efficiently and securely across designated routes. Your expertise in handling different types of trailers—including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and roll-off trucks—will ensure timely deliveries while adhering strictly to all safety and regulatory standards. Position Details & Responsibilities
- Route: Local freight hauling intermodal containers/chassis out of port terminals (NIT, VCT, PMT).
- Schedule: Home daily. Monday through Friday (with potential weekend shifts depending on port volume and demand).
- Equipment: Operating Class 8 day-cabs. Ensuring safe, compliant transport of goods to local warehouses, yards, and distribution centers.
Requirements
- License: Valid Class A CDL.
- Credentials: TWIC Card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) is strictly required for port access.
- Experience: Minimum [ 1 1/2–2 years] of verifiable tractor-trailer experience (intermodal/port experience is a major plus).
- Compliance: Clean Driving Record (MVR) and ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Skills: Strong communication, familiarity with port logging/booking apps, and solid backing skills for tight terminal yards.
