We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team for a residential summer camp program serving children with a variety of medical and developmental needs. This is a full-time, night shift position providing direct nursing care and medical oversight in a camp setting.
Campers include children with physical disabilities, Type 1 diabetes, cancer, and other chronic health conditions. The nursing team plays a vital role in ensuring a safe, supportive, and medically supervised environment throughout the overnight hours.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overnight nursing care and supervision for campers
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Respond to medical needs and emergencies during night shifts
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Communicate effectively with day shift nursing and leadership staff
- Ensure camper safety and well-being throughout the night
- Follow all health policies, procedures, and state nursing regulations
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state)
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to work overnight shifts in a residential camp environment
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
- Pediatric, school nursing, med-surg, or camp nursing experience preferred but not required
Schedule:
- Full-time, overnight shifts
Compensation:
- $48 per hour
