MTK Healthcare is hiring an experienced Phlebotomist for a travel contract with Adventist Health Portland in Portland, Oregon.

- 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, or
- 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Job Summary
The Phlebotomist will perform blood specimen collection and provide excellent patient care while supporting the Clinical Laboratory during an Epic implementation backfill. Candidates must have recent experience using the Epic EMR system and be comfortable working in a busy hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages.
- Accurately label and process laboratory specimens.
- Enter and document patient information using the Epic EMR system.
- Maintain specimen integrity and follow laboratory safety protocols.
- Provide professional and compassionate patient care.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare providers to ensure timely specimen collection.
Requirements
- Recent Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months (Required)
- Previous hospital phlebotomy experience preferred
- Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work flexible variable shifts
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused
