PMP Personnel Services is partnered with a growing manufacturing company in Petoskey seeking a dependable Packager to support production operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Safely move finished plastic products from the production line into appropriate packaging
- Package products according to customer specifications and work order requirements
- Verify skid configurations and pallet patterns meet customer standards
- Inspect finished products and communicate any quality concerns to the Line Operator
- Maintain accurate packaging and handling procedures throughout the production process
- Move skids of finished product using a pallet jack
- Utilize packaging tools including measuring tapes, glue guns, tape guns, box cutters, and cut-resistant gloves
- Maintain clean and organized work areas following good housekeeping practices
- Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
- Assist with additional production-related duties as assigned

- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Commitment to workplace safety and product quality
- Ability to read and follow work instructions in English
- Ability to accurately read a measuring tape
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a production environment
- Proven reliability and excellent attendance record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

What to Expect
This is an active production position in a manufacturing environment. You'll spend your day packaging finished products, inspecting quality, stacking and palletizing materials, and ensuring customer specifications are met. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.
Physical requirements include standing for up to 12 hours per shift, frequent bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling, and regularly lifting up to 60 pounds. Employees will move finished product using pallet jacks and work in varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions typical of a manufacturing facility.
