About Seota
Seota is a performance-driven digital agency specializing in SEO, custom WordPress development, and growth marketing for service-based and multi-location businesses. We work with clients across industries including manufacturing, healthcare, IT/MSPs, and franchised brands.
We are adding a part-time contract SEO Client Success Manager to support a defined group of SEO accounts. This is a contract engagement, not a salaried position, and it is designed for an experienced agency professional who wants steady, predictable client-facing work without a full-time commitment.
The Role (Why This Position Exists)
This role exists to bridge the gap between:
- Our offshore SEO execution team
- Our internal strategy and leadership
- Our clients' expectations, confidence, and success
You will not be executing SEO tasks day-to-day.
You will be responsible for making sure a defined book of clients understands what is happening, why it matters, and where things are headed.
If you enjoy building relationships, telling a clear performance story, and proactively keeping clients confident and informed, this engagement is a good fit. As SEO increasingly intersects with AI-powered workflows and paid media, this role requires curiosity and a willingness to learn how these channels support overall growth.
Scope of Engagement
- Approximately 20-25 hours per week, with flexibility on how those hours are scheduled
- A defined portfolio of roughly 5 to 8 SEO accounts
- Availability during Central Time business hours for client calls and internal standups
- Ongoing engagement with the possibility of expanding hours or converting to a full-time role
Key Responsibilities
Client Communication and Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned SEO clients
- Lead monthly and bi-weekly SEO check-ins with clients
- Translate SEO work and results into clear, client-friendly language
- Proactively share wins, improvements, and progress before clients ask
- Address client questions and concerns with confidence and clarity
SEO Coordination and Internal Alignment
- Work closely with our offshore SEO Manager and execution team
- Ensure client priorities are clearly communicated to the SEO team
- Track deliverables, timelines, and dependencies
- Surface risks, blockers, or concerns early, before they become problems
Reporting and Performance Storytelling
- Review SEO reports before they go to clients
- Highlight key trends: traffic, rankings, impressions, conversions, local performance
- Frame results around business impact, not just metrics
- Help clients understand realistic SEO timelines and expectations
Retention Support
- Build strong, trusted relationships that reduce churn
- Flag expansion opportunities (content, CRO, paid, dev, local SEO) to leadership
- Hand off upsell and QBR conversations to the Seota strategy team
What We're Looking For
Required
- 3-5 years experience working with SEO clients (agency or in-house)
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals (on-page, technical, content, local)
- Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Comfortable speaking with business owners, marketing managers, and executives
- Highly organized and proactive, able to follow up and close loops
- Able to work as an independent contractor (1099) and provide your own computer and reliable internet
- Texas-based
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience working with offshore or distributed teams
- Familiarity with local SEO and multi-location businesses
- Experience in manufacturing, healthcare, or B2B services
- Agency background strongly preferred
- Curiosity or hands-on exposure to AI-driven marketing tools (AI-assisted content, reporting, analytics) and a basic understanding of paid media (Google Ads, paid social), even if not responsible for execution
What This Role Is NOT
- A junior SEO role
- A hands-on execution role
- A sales role
- A reporting-only or task-following position
- A full-time salaried position with benefits
This is a client-facing ownership role on a part-time contract basis.
