Job Title: Quality Control Technician
Job Description
The Quality Control Technician ensures that finished products meet all order specifications and internal quality standards by performing inspections, tests, and documentation in an industrial laboratory environment. This role supports continuous improvement, participates in the ISO Quality Management System, and collaborates with production and R&D teams to maintain high levels of product quality and consistency.
Responsibilities

Inspect final products to verify compliance with customer order specifications and internal quality standards.

Inspect and test products to ensure conformance to defined quality, safety, and performance requirements.

Determine product acceptance or rejection based on established criteria and test results.

Initiate supplier rejection reports and nonconformance reports (NCRs) when materials or products do not meet specifications.

Reject materials that do not meet quality standards and document findings clearly and accurately.

Place nonconforming products on hold to prevent unintended use or shipment.

Provide input and feedback to support continuous improvement of processes, products, and quality systems.

Participate in and fulfill responsibilities as defined in ISO Quality Management System manuals and procedures.

Support research and development (R&D) activities as needed by performing tests, measurements, and data collection.

Perform laboratory tests such as density testing, tensile testing, blending evaluations, adhesive performance checks, and flame atomic absorption testing as required.

Use strong math skills to perform calculations, interpret test data, and ensure accurate measurements.

Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and nonconformance reports in accordance with quality system requirements.

Communicate test results, nonconformances, and quality concerns clearly to relevant teams to support timely resolution.

Follow established laboratory procedures, safety guidelines, and quality protocols at all times.
Essential Skills-
At least 1 year of quality control (QC) experience in a manufacturing environment.

Hands-on experience with product inspection and testing in a laboratory or production setting.

Strong math skills to perform calculations, interpret data, and validate measurements.

Experience working within a structured quality control or quality assurance framework.

Ability to initiate and document supplier rejection reports and nonconformance reports (NCRs).

Capability to determine product acceptance based on defined quality standards and test results.

Attention to detail and accuracy in inspection, testing, and documentation.

Ability to identify nonconforming materials and products and take appropriate action.

Familiarity with laboratory testing practices related to quality control.

Effective communication skills to report findings and collaborate with production, quality, and R&D teams.

Ability to follow ISO Quality Management System procedures and documentation requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications-
Previous laboratory experience with tensile testing, density testing, adhesion testing, visual measuring, and burn rate testing is a plus but not required.

Experience with blending processes and adhesive evaluations is beneficial.

Exposure to flame atomic absorption testing is an advantage.

Experience working in an industrial laboratory environment.

Familiarity with ISO-based quality management systems and documentation.

Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Work Environment
This role operates in an industrial laboratory environment within a manufacturing setting. The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The position involves working with laboratory equipment and instruments used for quality testing, including tools for density testing, tensile testing, adhesion testing, blending assessments, burn rate measurements, and flame atomic absorption analysis. The work requires adherence to laboratory safety procedures, proper handling of materials, and consistent use of quality system documentation. The environment is structured and process-driven, with a focus on accuracy, reliability, and compliance with ISO Quality Management System standards.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
