Job Summary
The Local Epicurean is hiring upbeat, engaging Cooking Class Instructors to lead hands-on cooking experiences for groups of all sizes. You are not cooking for guests — you’re teaching, guiding, and hosting. This role is perfect for people with backgrounds in teaching, theatre, hospitality, coaching, or anyone who loves food and enjoys being in front of a crowd.
Responsibilities
- Lead fun, hands-on cooking classes with confidence and personality
- Teach simple cooking techniques and kitchen safety in an approachable way
- Prep, set up, and clean up your teaching station
- Create a welcoming, energetic, and memorable experience for guests
- Support with bartending, retail, or pasta making when needed
Qualifications
- Strong communication and people skills
- Comfortable speaking to and leading groups
- Background in hospitality, theatre, education, coaching, or culinary arts a plus
- Passion for food, wine, and helping others learn
- Reliable, organized, and positive under pressure
- Availability on evenings and weekends
