A Landscape Construction Laborer is responsible for performing manual labor tasks to assist in the construction and maintenance of outdoor landscapes. This role requires physical strength, endurance, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Preparation: Clear debris, level the ground, and prepare areas for planting and construction.
- Plant Installation: Plant trees, shrubs, flowers, and grass according to design plans, ensuring proper placement and spacing.
- Hardscape Installation: Assist in the construction of patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other structures using materials like stone, brick, and concrete.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate landscaping machinery and tools, such as small excavators.
- Irrigation Systems: Assist in the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems to ensure efficient water use.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in landscaping or construction is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Skills: Familiarity with basic landscaping and construction techniques; ability to use hand and power tools.
- Communication: Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with a team.
- Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver's license may be required. Certifications in landscaping or related fields are a plus.
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
