Seeking a highly motivated and organized Office Manager to oversee daily operations of a busy, steadily growing church office. You will be the cornerstone of our team, managing everything from correspondence to bulletins, while supporting our office culture.
We are a diverse and historic church with a deep commitment to our community. We are expanding our operation capabilities, so you will be a key player in setting the standard for the reliability and expediency of our success.
Qualifications : The successful candidate for this position will be able to multi-task and will have a strong sense of business knowledge, organizational skills, have confident proficiency in various computer programs (Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Windows, varying email servers, internet and websites).
The candidate will be required to uphold a high degree of confidentiality to protect the personal information and/or concerns of congregants, finances and ministries of the church.
The candidate will be required to submit to a background check and will be required to be Safe Sanctuary certified. Both requirements will be paid for by the church.
Benefits : Vacation will be two weeks paid vacation per year, beginning after a six-month probationary period.
Paid holidays will be New Years Day, MLK Day, President's Day, Good Friday and Easter Monday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, 4th of July, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving + day after, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day plus the Day after.
Sick days will not be counted as hours worked, but the Office Manager can choose to make up hours during a normal work week, which can be coordinated with the Pastor.
Key Responsibilities :
Office Operations : Including, but not limited to managing day-to-day administrative duties, closely maintaining the Pastor’s calendar, office organization, church correspondence, emails and weekly bulletins, maintaining a phone presence during normal church hours, preparing and paying regular invoices, coordinating and administering information for Finance Committee and various committee chairpersons. Attend one Monthly ad-council meeting.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
