Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Delivery Service Provider (DSP) team leader to oversee a fleet of drivers operating across open territories. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team responsible for timely, safe, and efficient delivery of goods using various vehicle types, including minivans and personal vehicles. As a key player in our logistics network, you will ensure that delivery operations run smoothly while maintaining high standards of customer service, safety, and compliance with transportation regulations. This position is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, extensive delivery experience, and a passion for driving and logistics.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a team of delivery drivers to meet daily delivery targets across assigned territories
- Oversee route planning and driving schedules to optimize efficiency and service quality
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with safety protocols
- Manage loading and unloading processes, including manual handling and the operation of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks
- Enforce adherence to traffic laws, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and safe lifting practices during all operations
- Conduct regular safety inspections of vehicles and equipment, ensuring compliance with heavy lifting standards and workplace weight handling policies
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, driver logs, and incident reports using mobile devices or other digital tools
Qualifications
- Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations involving manual handling and moving tasks
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating box trucks or commercial trucks; familiarity with manual transmission preferred
- Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic regulations, and DOT compliance standards
- Experience managing or leading a team of drivers or warehouse staff is highly desirable
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely while following proper manual handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on professionalism and communication
- Competence in operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and mobile devices for route management
- Knowledge of warehouse operations including load & unload procedures and safety protocols related to heavy lifting and weight handling

Pay: $800.00 - $1,500.00 per week
