Operations Assistant
Part-time 29hrs/week, nonexempt

The Organization:
The mission of the Community Food Bank of Grand Junction (CFB) is to advance community health and economic stability in Mesa County by boosting nutritious food access and addressing root causes of food insecurity.
CFB is an independent nonprofit organization serving the Grand Valley community for 45 years. Hunger relief programs include an in-person client choice food pantry open every M/T/Th from 12:30 - 5:30pm, and a home delivery program providing food boxes to community members with limited access to transportation. We are looking for a reliable, and efficient individual with strong integrity and ability to work with others to join our team!
Responsibilities:
Operations Support
- Available for food pantry operations support Monday - Thursday 11am - 6pm.
- Ensure fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, bread, freezers, and coolers stay stocked during pantry hours using the first in first out method.
- Assist with volunteer support, client services, procurement pick-ups and deliveries, and warehouse duties as needed.
- Help CFB staff and volunteers with additional shift tasks (food sorting, inventory, organization, cleaning etc.)
- Help ensure the warehouse stays clean and organized throughout the shift and take responsibility for deep cleaning/organizing tasks as determined by organizational leadership and supervisor.
- Assist with food recovery and mobile market operations as needed.
- Assist with administrative or volunteer group tasks as assigned.
- Other job duties as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:

- Ability to work with a wide variety of clients, staff, and volunteers from diverse backgrounds and experiences
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish/English qualified for differential pay if utilized during client services on a regular basis
Physical & Job Requirements:
- Lifting of up to 35 - 40 lbs regularly.
- Frequent standing and/or sitting for hours at a time.
- Ability to use basic warehouse equipment (pallet jack, dolly etc.)
- Work indoors in warehouse
- Tobacco, vape, and drug free work environment
- Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles
Pay Range & Benefits:
- $15 - 18/hr depending on experience & performance
