Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Owner Operator to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving. You will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all federal and state regulations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial trucks, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations
- Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules
- Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper cargo handling and securement of logistics cargo
- Conduct pre-trip inspections, routine maintenance checks, and post-trip reports to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered during transit
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license and owner operator status
- Strong knowledge of trucking operations including load & unload procedures, truck loading/unloading, and freight handling
- Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments
- Ability to handle manual transmission trucks confidently and perform manual handling tasks safely
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service excellence
- Experience with route driving across diverse terrains and managing delivery schedules efficiently
