American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring Level 1 trauma experience and PALS certification.

Work in the Pediatric ICU of a hospital environment
-
CVICU and NICU experience preferred
-
Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
-
13-week assignment length
-
Active RN license (Oklahoma State or Compact/eNLC) currently in hand
-
Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), both issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required

Level 1 trauma experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
-
Strong knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures
-
Assume responsibility for an assigned group of pediatric ICU patients
-
Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
-
Assist physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
-
Obtain and monitor physiological data and intervene as necessary

Administer medications and initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products
-
Communicate care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge
-
Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate

Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered

Returning travelers may extend one time for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation is required before reapplying after reaching that limit

Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced, and candidates must be booked at least 4 weeks prior to start date
