Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift, Direct Hire (Columbia City, IN)
Position Overview
The maintenance technician ensures optimal operation of plant machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment, and associated functions. This company has a diverse set of machines to be involved with material handling, agricultural, power generation, and defense industries. The role is full-time and provides full-time health / vision / dental benefits, PTO, etc. This role reports to the maintenance supervisor.
Work environment is within a 289,000 sq. ft. facility and is climate controlled!
Shifts Available:

1st Shift, 10 – 12 hr shifts (45 hrs/wk.)

2nd Shift, 10 – 12 hr shifts (45 hrs/wk.)
Starting Pay Range:
-
$24 - $28/hr. + shift differential
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-
Responsible for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment/machinery

Performing maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, CNC machines, and other production machines

Performing emergency repairs

Process requests through internal work order program
Required Skills and Abilities

Willing and able to work past scheduled hours when necessary
- Must have good math, reading, and writing skills
- Good problem solving and root cause skill
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to articulate and comprehend complex environments
Works well alone and in a team environment

Education and Experience
- 3+ years’ experience with industrial maintenance & machine troubleshooting

1 year experience using Lean Manufacturing Tools
- Experience with mechanical, pneumatic, electric, and electronics maintenance
- Knowledge and experience with forklifts; willing and able to receive forklift certification
- Valid Driver’s License
High School Diploma or equivalent
