SOCO PRIVATE SECURITY is now accepting applications for the 2026–2027 school year for Security Officers at one of San Francisco's premier private schools.
We are hiring for two full-time positions:
This is a highly selective opportunity with one of our premier clients. Candidates should expect a three-step interview process, and only the strongest applicants will be selected.
Compensation
- $23.50/hour – Active California Guard Card
- $24.50/hour – Guard Card + OC & Handcuff Certification
- $25.50/hour – Guard Card + OC, Handcuff & Baton Certification
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Weekend overtime may be required based on operational needs.
- During summer and school breaks, hours are significantly reduced due to the academic calendar.
Position Overview
This is a professional security position focused on maintaining a safe and secure campus environment. Officers primarily interact with school staff, faculty, and visitors, with minimal direct interaction with students.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a professional and visible security presence
- Conducting interior and exterior foot patrols
- Monitoring campus activity and reporting incidents
- Access control and visitor assistance
- Writing detailed daily activity and incident reports
- Responding professionally to emergencies and security concerns
Physical Requirements
- Must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
- Must be able to walk throughout a campus with multiple hills and varying elevations.
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Active California Guard Card
- High level of professionalism and reliability
- Strong verbal communication and de-escalation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable using a smartphone for reporting and timekeeping
- Reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- OC Pepper Spray Certification
- Handcuff Permit
- Baton Permit
- Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience
