Title: Paint Line Loader

Reports to: Paint Line Supervisor

Department: Paint Department

Full-time

Nonexempt

Position Summary:

Since 1961, the Wellborn family has owned and operated Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. The goal is to provide kitchen and bath cabinets crafted by dedicated Wellborn employees with the utmost quality and care. Today, over 55 years later, the product line has broadened to include cabinetry and storage solutions to help maximize the total home living space. As a point of contact between the factory and our customer, this role will employ care and organizational skill to continue to make Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. the most valued provider of permanent home cabinets designed for a lifetime of gracious living.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Load product onto paint line while keeping space between parts.
Communicates with Lead Person/Supervisor on product spacing and staple issues.
Communicates with Stapler on colors going onto the lines.
Communicates with the Inspector proper space needed to re-hang parts removed by quality.
Assists co-workers as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Must be team oriented, interactive, and possess strong communication skills.
Must be a self-starter who works well under pressure and can follow daily work assignments.
Ability to stay-on-task, follow safety guidelines and work process procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to hang products efficiently and rapidly.
Ability to double hang components.
Must know all colors and all wood species or types.
Must have loading knowledge.
Possesses a willingness to learn new ways to enhance productivity.
Education and Experience
Experience loading and stacking products.

Position has recurring work situations that involve having a high attention to detail and service results. It is important that Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. Safety protocols be followed as a guide for operational direction. Failing to follow prescribed guidelines will waste resources and adversely impact performance.

Working Conditions:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Frequently required use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear clearly.
Frequently required to bend; lift; stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Frequently required to lift 30-60 pounds of products.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Uses safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs metal hooks.
