Overview
NELA Roofing is building our in-house shingle crew and looking for experienced roofers who know how to do the job right. This is hands-on roofing work — installing, repairing, and maintaining shingle roofing systems on residential and commercial projects. Responsibilities
- Install shingle roofing systems correctly — proper alignment, nail placement, and exposure
- Cut and tie in valleys cleanly to prevent leaks
- Install chimney flashing and related metal work (step flashing, counter-flashing, crickets)
- Install and repair soffit and fascia
- Replace damaged shingles, flashing, or underlayment during repairs
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, fit, and install roofing materials
- Read basic job specs and measurements to determine material needs
- Inspect roofs to identify leaks or damage and carry out repairs
- Follow all jobsite safety practices, including harness use, ladder safety, and proper lifting
- Keep the job site clean and organized, including debris removal
Experience
- Proven roofing experience, specifically in shingle installation and repair
- Comfortable working at heights and following fall protection protocols
- Skilled with standard roofing hand tools and power tools
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to safely lift and carry roofing materials
- Reliable, safety-minded, and takes pride in doing the job right the first time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
