Responsibilities

- Follow recipes, menu specifications, and food safety guidelines meticulously to ensure optimal food handling and hygiene standards
- Manage ingredient inventory, monitor freshness, and coordinate with suppliers as needed for seamless kitchen operations
- Execute precise knife skills for slicing fish, vegetables, and other ingredients with efficiency and safety
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new sushi rolls or culinary innovations that enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to sanitation protocols at all times
- Support catering orders and special event preparations by delivering high-quality food service in a timely manner
Requirements
- Proven experience in a culinary environment, specifically with dietary department or dietary aide experience preferred
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food industry standards, especially in fine dining or restaurant settings
- Demonstrated expertise in food handling, safety procedures, and proper knife skills for precise meal preparation
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices to ensure compliance at all times
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food presentation
- Previous experience with catering or serving in a restaurant or culinary setting is highly desirable
