Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Experienced Cabinet Maker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality custom cabinets and woodwork solutions that meet precise specifications. Your expertise in woodworking, blueprint interpretation, and construction techniques will ensure each project is executed flawlessly, delivering exceptional results for our clients. Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately produce cabinetry and woodwork components.
- Use hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines to cut, shape, assemble, and finish cabinet parts with precision.
- Measure and mark materials for cutting and assembly, ensuring all pieces fit seamlessly according to specifications.
- Install cabinets, fixtures, doors, siding, trim, and other woodwork components on-site with attention to detail and safety standards.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and finished products safely while adhering to proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly after use.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols such as power tool safety.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cabinet making, carpentry, or woodworking within residential or commercial settings.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and construction plans.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools for woodworking, woodworking machines, metal stud framing equipment, and other carpentry tools.
- Familiarity with construction site experience including framing, drywall installation (plastering), rebar installation, concrete forming, stucco application, caulking, siding installation, mold remediation, flooring installation, water damage restoration, fixture installation, door hanging, remodeling projects, and restoration industry practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining quality standards.
- Knowledge of wood construction materials such as plywoods, MDFs (medium-density fiberboard), veneers, trims, and hardware components.
- Experience with metal stud framing is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills; ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Commitment to safety practices including power tool safety protocols.
