Encapsulation Technician | Cedar City, UT
Nexeo Staffing is hiring an Encapsulation Technician for a rapidly growing manufacturing company specializing in nutritional supplements, vitamins, and bulk powder production. The Encapsulation Technician supports the production of capsules by operating equipment, preparing materials, and ensuring all products meet GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and quality standards. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role requiring strong attention to detail, consistency, and efficiency.
Responsibilities

Operate and monitor encapsulation machinery.

Prepare gelatin, powders, and fill materials according to formulas.

Monitor capsule quality, including ribbon thickness, seams, weight, and appearance.

Perform in-process quality checks, including weights, moisture testing, visual inspections, and batch documentation.

Load and unload trays and transfer materials to drying tunnels.

Assist with tumble drying, sorting, and inspection processes.

Follow batch records, SOPs, and production schedules.

Clean and sanitize equipment in accordance with GMP and safety protocols.

Report equipment issues, quality concerns, or production deviations immediately.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing, food production, pharmaceutical, or supplement production preferred.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.

Basic math skills for measurements and documentation.

Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Comfortable working in a regulated, compliance-driven environment.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Preferred: Previous experience working in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 30–50 lbs.

Comfortable working in warm and humid conditions.
Pay
$18.00–$25.00 per hour DOE
Schedule
Full Time | Monday–Thursday | 5:30 AM–3:30 PM | Friday (Optional but Preferred), 5:30 AM–1:30 PM
