Duties
- Install, repair, and replace garage doors, openers, springs, cables, rollers, hinges, and other hardware components with precision.
- Conduct glass installation and fixture installation to enhance door aesthetics and functionality.
- Perform electrical work related to garage door openers and safety sensors while adhering to electrical safety standards.
- Engage in carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry, and door hanging for seamless finishes.
- Lift heavy materials safely during construction site work or remodeling projects while maintaining proper safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and project progress for accountability and quality assurance.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in door installation, mechanical repair, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics interpretation.
- Knowledge of building code compliance related to garage doors and construction standards.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks combined with agility for working at heights or in tight spaces.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly approach to client interactions.
- Prior handyman experience or construction background preferred for versatile project handling.
