Umi Sushi is an All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) Sushi & Hibachi restaurant dedicated to delivering fresh food, excellent service, and a welcoming dining experience. We are looking for energetic, reliable, and team-oriented individuals to join our growing team.
Position Summary
We are seeking restaurant team members who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and providing excellent guest service. Previous restaurant experience is required, and experience in Japanese restaurants is strongly preferred.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of restaurant experience required
- Japanese restaurant experience preferred
- Positive attitude and professional appearance
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently during busy hours
- Team player with a strong work ethic
- Able to stand for long periods and carry trays when needed
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service
- Explain AYCE menu options and assist with recommendations
- Take accurate food and beverage orders
- Deliver food promptly and maintain table cleanliness
- Monitor guest experience and respond to requests quickly
- Follow restaurant standards for cleanliness and food safety
- Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house team members
- Complete opening and closing side work duties
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sushi, hibachi, or Japanese dining environments
- Experience working in high-volume restaurants
- Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail
