Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in education, healthcare, medical discipline or related degree and two years of experience in education/training or healthcare environment
OR
Bachelor’s degree in education, healthcare, medical discipline or related degree and 4 Years of experience in education/training environment or as a standardized patient trainer or relevant experience.
Job Description:
Function: Recruits, trains, schedules, supervises and monitors educational activities throughout the Health education center that includes human and nonhuman teaching and assessment functions; communicates with faculty, standardized patients, nurses, and staff. Assists with technical, professional, and logistical requirements for all activities involving education and training in the simulated environment.
Scope: Provides educational training services for all aspects of simulation education in the health education center.
Job Duties:

Recruit, screen, train, and supervise standardized patients for portrayal of standardized “illness scripts” and documentation of student performance.

Maintain effective communications with staff, faculty, and students associated with human and nonhuman educational activities.

Assist with case and script development.

Monitor, Identify, and address areas conducting educational activities for accuracy and quality improvement purposes.

Assist with all technical and logistic requirements associated with simulation activities within the HEC.

Collaborate with Director of Simulation, Medical Director, other center staff to maintain a record of high-quality service and educational innovation.

Responsible for the accuracy and reliability of portrayals, student performance evaluations and feedback during learning/assessment activities.

Works with faculty to prepare, conduct, and evaluate human and nonhuman simulation training activities.
