Furniture Craftsman: Woodworker/Carpenter (Entry-Level)
Company Overview:
Danner Furniture is a woodworking small business which has been going for around 5 years. At the moment, the manufacturing shop has 5 laborers (the shop lead and 3 team members). Danner specializes in handmade beds and primarily makes the same few designs every week.
Position: Woodworker
Location: Colorado Springs (Central)
Type: Full-Time (9AM-5PM Monday-Friday)
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Woodworker at Danner Furniture, you will have the exciting opportunity to learn and grow in the field of woodworking while contributing to the production of our wood products. Your role will include:
- Attitude: positive and hard-working attitude with the ability to set a good example for others. I don't tolerate any disrespect or rudeness. Must be ok with long hours of silent manual labor. You may listen to whatever you want to in headphones while working.
- Table Saw: long hours of running the table saw
- Miter Saw: long hours of performing cross cuts
- Sanding: long hours of sanding our pieces
- Cleaning: maintaining a clean and organized shop to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Consistency: reliably building pieces that are often the same each week
Qualifications:
- High energy with a passion for getting the work done.
- Humble and ready to learn
- Minimal woodworking experience is necessary
- Ability to follow instructions and learn new techniques quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 100 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to embrace challenges, learn from mistakes, and continually improve.
- Experience in the food industry or construction industry is helpful but not required
