The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) serves as a member of the Agency’s Clinical Oversight Team in a consultative capacity. The LVN supports the Program Administrator in monitoring medication administration practices, reviewing Restricted Health Care Plans (RHCP), and assisting with implementation of physician-directed health supports in accordance with the consumer’s Individual Program Plan (IPP) and applicable provisions of California Code of Regulations, Title 17 governing Family Home Agencies.
The LVN does not function as a primary medical provider and does not provide independent medical treatment, diagnosis, or ongoing skilled nursing services within family homes.
This position is advisory and quality assurance focused. All clinical consultation is provided at the direction of the Administrator. The Administrator retains ultimate responsibility for agency operations and decision-making.
For the delivery of providing Medication Administration Oversight (Consultative), Restricted Health Care Plans (RHCP), Health-Related Consultation, Quality Assurance Participation, Training and Support.

Approximately 2025 hours per month.

Available for consultation via phone or scheduled home visits as requested by the Administrator.

Home visits are conducted for consultative support purposes only.

The LVN functions within the scope of practice defined by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT) and within the regulatory framework governing Family Home Agencies under Title 17.

All recommendations are advisory to the Administrator. Final operational decisions remain with the Administrator.
Candidates must pass a state-mandated background screening (DOJ fingerprinting), a health screening, and a TB test, First Aid and CPR certification. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy. Reliable personal vehicle for frequent field visits.
