Job Summary
Sam’s Southern Eatery in Monroe is looking for a friendly and dependable Front of House/Cashier team member for our morning shift. You’ll be helping customers, taking orders, handling payments, answering the phone, and making sure orders are correct and ready to go.
We’re looking for someone with great customer service skills who is friendly, welcoming, works well with others, and can keep up in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, welcoming service
- Take dine-in, takeout, and phone orders accurately
- Handle cash and card payments
- Answer the phone and assist customers with questions
- Make sure orders are accurate before they go out
- Package and prepare takeout orders
- Keep the front counter and dining area clean and organized
- Restock front-of-house supplies when needed
- Communicate with the kitchen to keep orders running smoothly
- Help with other front-of-house tasks as needed
Experience
- Must be friendly, welcoming, and provide great customer service
- Positive attitude and professional when speaking with customers
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have morning availability
- Comfortable greeting and communicating with customers throughout the shift
- Patient and respectful, even during busy or stressful periods
- Able to multitask and stay organized
- Works well with other team members
- Restaurant, cashier, or customer service experience is preferred, but not required
