Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Chattanooga, TN (100% Onsite)
Duration: 6–9 Month Contract
Pay Rate: $45-$50/hr
Overview
Central Point Partners is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to support a large enterprise organization in Chattanooga, TN. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys working across virtualization, storage, backup, cloud, and modern workplace technologies in a primarily on-premises environment.
This position is 100% onsite in Chattanooga, TN.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support VMware virtual infrastructure.
- Manage and maintain Pure Storage environments.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Veeam Backup & Replication solutions.
- Support and administer Google Workspace environments.
- Assist with AWS infrastructure and cloud-related initiatives.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams to maintain a secure, reliable, and high-performing infrastructure.
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and ongoing optimization efforts.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and technical changes.
Required Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of infrastructure engineering or systems engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with:
- VMware vSphere / ESXi
- Pure Storage
- Veeam Backup & Replication
- Google Workspace Administration
- AWS (EC2, IAM, VPC, or related services)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across enterprise infrastructure technologies.
- Experience supporting Windows Server environments.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Chattanooga, TN.
Preferred Qualifications
- VMware, AWS, Veeam, or storage-related certifications.
- Experience supporting public sector or government environments.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, and DHCP.
