Duties
- Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections to evaluate mechanical systems, electrical components, tires, body condition, and overall safety standards.
- Identify and document issues related to auto body damage, mechanical failures, electrical faults, and tire wear.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform basic repairs or prepare vehicles for detailed maintenance or restoration.
- Conduct automotive tire changes and assist with vehicle maintenance tasks as needed.
- Use auto estimating software to assess repair costs and communicate findings clearly to team members and customers.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks during vehicle repairs or restorations, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs performed, parts used, and vehicle history for accountability and quality control.
Requirements
- Proven experience with standard passenger car operation and familiarity with automotive repair processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including automotive tire change, vehicle maintenance, and mechanical systems repair.
- Knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, electrical systems, and auto body repair techniques.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and auto estimating software for accurate assessments.
- Ability to perform vehicle inspections thoroughly while adhering to safety standards.
- Prior mechanic experience or automotive service background is highly desirable.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions.
- Excellent customer service skills with a clear ability to communicate findings effectively.
