Experienced Bartender – Eastside Neighborhood Bar
Eastside neighborhood bar seeking an experienced, dependable bartender to join our team.
We are looking for someone who is friendly, responsible and comfortable working independently in a single-bartender bar environment. The position will have a set schedule, but candidates must be willing to cover additional shifts as needed, including day or night shifts.
Position Details
- Schedule: Set schedule with flexibility to cover additional shifts as needed
- Pay: Minimum wage + tips
- Certification: Must have or obtain a current Title 4 Certification upon hire
- Experience: Previous bartending experience required

Skills & Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience and knowledge of responsible alcohol service
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and alcohol-service requirements
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to create a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere for customers
- Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and respond appropriately to customer needs
- Ability to verify customer identification and age requirements
- Ability to responsibly enforce policies regarding the consumption and service of alcohol
- Ability to mix and serve drinks and cocktails accurately and efficiently
- Ability to make drink recommendations based on customer tastes and preferences
- Ability to open, maintain and close customer tabs throughout the shift
- Accurate payment processing and cash-handling skills
- Ability to record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits
- Accountability for maintaining bar inventory and notifying management of supply needs
- Ability to keep the bar, glassware and utensils clean and organized
- Ability to build rapport with regular customers and contribute to a positive bar environment
- Ability to work independently and manage the responsibilities of a single-bartender shift
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to perform opening and closing duties as needed
Closing Duties May Include
- Cleaning and organizing the bar
- Washing and putting away glasses and bar utensils
- Sweeping floors
- Emptying trash
- Putting up barstools
- Securing the bar and locking up after closing
- Completing end-of-shift cash and other closing procedures
