Job Summary
A well-established manufacturing company in the Fort Mill area is seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and experience assembling large-scale industrial equipment. This position requires the ability to read drawings, work independently, and assemble complex machinery involving motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, couplings, piping, and rotating components.
Responsibilities
- Assemble large industrial mixing and processing equipment according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Install and align motors, pumps, gearboxes, couplings, bearings, shafts, and other mechanical components.
- Perform mechanical assembly, adjustments, and troubleshooting of equipment systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and technical documents.
- Install hydraulic systems, piping, and electrical components as needed.
- Safely operate overhead cranes, hoists, ladders, and scaffolding during equipment assembly.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure proper operation, quality, and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow company safety procedures and quality guidelines.
Qualifications
- Mechanical assembly experience preferred.
- Experience working with industrial machinery, pumps, motors, gearboxes, or rotating equipment.
- Ability to read and follow mechanical drawings/blueprints and work instructions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and also on a team.
- Comfortable working with heights, cranes, hoists, ladders, and scaffolding.
- Experience with hydraulics, piping, and electrical systems is a plus.
- Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and willingness to learn.
- Experience assembling very large equipment such as construction cranes/ earth movers are examples.
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Monday through Thursday
- Four 10-hour shifts
- 6am-4:30pm (occasionally OT on Fridays)

Pay: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour
