Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Bookkeeper/Financial Operations Specialist and become a vital part of our financial management process! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling balances, and supporting overall financial health. Your expertise will ensure compliance with accounting standards such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) while leveraging advanced accounting software to streamline processes. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including journal entries, account analysis, and ledger maintenance using software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy across all financial accounts.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining detailed records.
- Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Support payroll processing by verifying employee hours, calculating wages, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Conduct account reconciliation activities regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist with budgeting, financial report writing, and tax-related tasks to support organizational financial planning and compliance efforts.
Skills
- Extensive experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and non-profit accounting practices.
- Knowledge of GAAP guidelines and technical accounting concepts including double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting.
- Proficiency in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting standards and tax experience related to payroll and accounts payable/receivable.
- Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently for data entry accuracy.
- Excellent analytical skills for account analysis and account reconciliation tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in financial report writing and budget management. Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
