Fix-A-Pet is hiring a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant to join our team! We are a mobile, high-volume/high-quality spay neuter & wellness clinic based out of Perry, GA. We offer services in a variety of towns across central GA so willingness to be flexible is a must. Our work week is Tuesday thru Friday- NO WEEKENDS OR AFTER HOURS! The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and can thrive in a fast-paced role. Bonus points if you're goal oriented and work well with check-lists! While we do have some cutest patients, the job does require hard work and is messy.

Duties
- Handle drop-off and post-op discharge of patients
- Assist veterinarian during pre-surgery examinations and surgeries
- Perform animal restraint using proper techniques to ensure safety for all
- Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures and recovery
- Conduct patient diagnostic testing
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments accurately following instructions
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about treatments, procedures, and post-care instructions
- Handle daily cleaning tasks and preparation of medical equipment
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old and have reliable transportation
- Licensed Veterinary Technician or Certified Veterinary Assistant with 1+ years of experience in the veterinary field preferred, but not required
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Must have a strong knowledge of animal restraint, anesthesia monitoring, aseptic techniques, and standard medications/vaccines used in preventative care
- Ability to recognize and understand animal body language to handle pets confidently
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with clients & team members
- A team player with a passion for preventative care!
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
