American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2 years of experience and an active AZ or compact RN license.
-
Work in the MS/Tele unit of a short term acute care teaching hospital with Level IV trauma designation
-
Float between two MS Tele units as part of a flex pool
-
Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
-
Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7pm to 7am
-
Required to work every other weekend
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Floating required to where most needed, including other units or nearby affiliate hospitals based on skills and census needs
-
Uses standard med surg/tele equipment
-
Liko lifts available in almost all patient rooms
-
Cerner charting system used, experience preferred
-
Active, unrestricted AZ RN license or valid compact license required, pending license accepted for submission

Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
-
Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele experience required

ICU or PCU experience is a plus, but strong MS/Tele experience will be considered
-
Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response
-
Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
-
Experience starting and maintaining IVs
-
Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to an adult patient population
-
Work as part of a flex pool team supporting multiple units based on facility needs
-
Navy blue scrubs required
-
Holiday coverage required for 2 of the following: New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, Independence Day Weekend, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day

Time off requests subject to unit manager approval
