About the Role:
The Colders Distribution Center in West Allis is seeking Assemblers to join our Prep Department. In this role, you will help prepare furniture and appliances for delivery by assembling products, performing quality inspections, and ensuring merchandise is ready for our customers to enjoy in their homes.
Schedule: Thursday Through Monday (9:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
What you will be doing each day:
- Utilize tools to prepare and assemble furniture products
- Unpack items and inspect furniture and appliances to ensure quality standards are met
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors
- Move and load products to and from production areas and delivery trucks
- Help ensure products are prepared safely and accurately for customer delivery
We are looking for individuals with:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- The ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy objects
- The ability to perform physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs, including lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, climbing, and handling materials
- Experience using basic hand and power tools such as hammers, drills, and wrenches
- Availability to work weekends and occasional evening or afternoon hours
