This position plays a vital role in ensuring guests have a smooth departure while helping prepare the hotel for the day ahead. In addition to front desk responsibilities, this role provides weekend operational support by coordinating with housekeeping, inspecting guest rooms, assisting with laundry, and addressing minor maintenance needs.

What You'll Be Doing
As our Weekend Morning Front Desk Representative, you'll be responsible for ensuring guest departures are handled accurately while supporting housekeeping and overall hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide warm, professional, and engaging service to every guest.
- Complete the guest check-out process efficiently and accurately.
- Review and settle guest folios, ensuring all charges are accurate before departure.
- Verify that the correct payment methods have been charged and resolve billing discrepancies when necessary.
- Answer phones and assist guests with reservations and inquiries.
- Process payments and maintain an accurate cash drawer.
- Create daily housekeeping room assignment lists for the housekeeping team.
- Coordinate with housekeeping regarding room status and priorities throughout the morning.
- Inspect guest rooms after housekeeping has completed cleaning to ensure they meet Best Western quality standards.
- Communicate any rooms awaiting inspection or requiring additional attention to the next shift.
- Assist with laundry operations as business demands require.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, resetting breakers when appropriate, tightening loose hardware, or other small repairs.
- Report larger maintenance issues promptly to the Maintenance Department.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby and front desk area.
- Represent Best Western brand standards with professionalism at all times.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.

- Schedule: Part-time
- Required Shifts: Every Saturday and Sunday
- Hours: 5:45 AM – 1:45 PM
- Compensation: $16.00 per hour to start
- Location: Best Western Montrose Inn, Montrose, CO
- Training: Paid training provided
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Has previous customer service or front desk experience (hospitality preferred).
- Is dependable and consistently arrives on time for early morning shifts.
- Has excellent attention to detail, especially when handling guest billing and financial transactions.
- Can multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicates clearly and professionally with guests and coworkers.
- Is comfortable using computers and willing to learn hotel management software (PMS training provided).
- Works well independently while also being a strong team player.
- Is willing to assist in multiple departments when needed.
- Has basic mechanical aptitude and is comfortable handling simple maintenance tasks.
- Takes pride in producing high-quality work and maintaining hotel standards.
