Position Overview
As an Educator at Pilates Addiction, you lead reformer based classes on our patented equipment and deliver the Pilates Addiction method with precision and energy. You are the face of the member experience in the room: you keep members safe, coach them toward real results, and create the connection and accountability that drive retention. This role is ideal for an instructor who lights up a room and builds a following, holds a high bar for form and safety, and wants to grow inside a premium, results-driven brand. We hire first for energy, engagement, and the ability to bring members back, and we train the method.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach the method: Lead group reformer classes that follow Pilates Addiction programming and standards, delivering a challenging, biomechanically sound, and on-brand experience every session.
- Safety and form first: Set up and check reformers and equipment before each class, cue with precision, watch and correct form, and modify for injuries, beginners, and different levels so every member trains safely.
- Member experience and retention: Learn members’ names and goals, celebrate progress, and build the relationships and accountability that keep members coming back. Support onboarding of new and trial members in the room.
- Method fidelity and growth: Complete and maintain Pilates Addiction University and method training, take feedback and audits from the Lead Educator or Studio Manager, and keep your own skills and certifications current.
- Studio standards: Keep the studio and equipment clean, safe, and ready between classes. Follow opening and closing procedures for your sessions.
- Community and brand: Represent Pilates Addiction inside and outside the studio, support studio events, workshops, and community activations, and help promote classes and offers.
- Availability and coverage: Teach your scheduled classes reliably, arrive early to set up, and help cover or sub classes when you are available.
- Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the owner’s or Studio Manager’s discretion.
Position Details
- Part-time, non-exempt. Paid hourly or per class per the Educator Rate Schedule; for hourly pay, overtime is paid at one and one-half times the regular rate for hours worked over 40 in a workweek, and educators are paid at least the applicable minimum wage for all hours worked.
- Reports to the Studio Manager (with method coaching from the Lead Educator).
- Schedule and availability. Studio hours include early mornings, some evenings, and weekends. This position is offered on the expectation that you make yourself available to teach at least 10 hours per week. The Company does not guarantee a minimum number of hours, and employment remains at will. Hours may run heavier during pre-sale and the opening window.
- On-site at the South End studio.
Qualifications
- Energy and engagement: a magnetic, motivating presence that builds community, learns members’ names and goals, and creates the accountability that keeps members coming back. A following, or a track record of building a class, club, or audience, is a strong plus.
- Certification: we consider a comprehensive Pilates certification, a strong apprentice certification, or a strong group-fitness teaching background (for example a Club Pilates, reformer, barre, or indoor-cycling instructor). Reformer experience is strongly preferred. Every educator completes Pilates Addiction University and the PA method training path, and passes our standards, before teaching classes solo.
- Safety and form: a sound understanding of movement, alignment, and safe progression and modification; able to set up and check reformers, cue with precision, watch and correct form, and modify for injuries and different levels.
- Teaching skill: confident group instruction, clear cueing, and the ability to read a room and adjust for different levels and bodies.
- Reliability and tech comfort: dependable with scheduling; comfortable with studio management and check-in software.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (required). Current at hire, or obtained before teaching, and kept current.
- Passes a form-and-safety assessment before teaching solo. Beyond completing Pilates Addiction University, every educator passes a documented form-and-safety assessment (a paid audition class) and is cleared by the Lead Educator or Studio Manager before teaching members without supervision.
- Background check: Employment is contingent on a satisfactory background check, run through the Company’s screening process with the required standalone disclosure and authorization.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to demonstrate exercises and teach actively for extended periods.
- Ability to stand, move, and interact with members throughout each class.
- Ability to set up, adjust, and reset reformers and related equipment safely.

Compensation and employment
Educators are paid per the Educator Rate Schedule provided with the offer (per class or hourly). Employment is at-will.
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
