General Description:
The Lube Technician/ Diesel Tech is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the company’s fleet. This position focuses on performing essential preventative maintenance tasks including oil changes, fluid checks, and basic mechanical repairs to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and identify basic mechanical issues, ensuring the overall functionality and safety of the equipment.
- Responsible for completing maintenance tasks such as regular oil changes, checking and replenishing fluids (engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, etc.), air filters, etc.
- Assist with diagnosing and completing minor repairs and service tasks as needed, such as replacing light bulbs, performing brake checks, or other basic repairs under the guidance of senior mechanics.
- Identify and report any issues requiring major mechanical work to senior mechanics.
- Driving and parking trucks and trailers in the yard as needed.
- Maintain complete, timely, and accurate records on all maintenance and inventory.
- Performs facility maintenance and housekeeping in order to maintain a clean, safe work area.
- Ability to access and use internal and external maintenance documents.
- Work in accordance with all federal, state, local and company compliance guidelines (i.e., Safety, DOT, etc.).
- Detects and eliminates or minimizes safety hazards.
- Works outside of general job description duties to assist others on an as-needed basis.
Job Qualifications Mandatory:
- Previous experience working as a Lube Technician or in a similar mechanic role, preferably with tractor trailers.
- Knowledge of diesel engines and related vehicle systems.
- Can satisfactorily pass a background test.
- Must possess own Mechanics tool set.
- Meets or exceeds the medical standards of the U.S. Dept. of Transportation and can satisfactorily pass a drug and alcohol test.
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
- Capable of working independently with minimal direction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with similar equipment and vehicles.
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particle
- The employee may be required to work in high/precarious places, with hazardous materials, with loud noises and in various weather conditions

MOBILITY: A Technician spends 70-80% of the time inside the shop area. While in the shop area and the yard there is exposure to loud noise and/or vibration, fumes, orders, dusts, gases and various weather conditions.
The Technician must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
A Technician spends 70-100% of the time: bending at the waist, neck, knees, wrist and shoulders; twisting and reaching hands; twisting and rotating forearms and elbows; lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying; and kneeling, stooping, crouching and crawling. Many of these require standing for prolong periods of time and repeating the same body movements.
Must be able to physically operate a variety of vehicles and equipment.
HEARING: The Technician is frequently required to talk or hear while answering phones, working with customers, clients, supervisors, etc. A Mechanic must be able to hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.
VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
